Meet Our Coaches!
Jenny Metzdorf
JENNY METZDORF has coached at Lake Brantley since 2016. She began playing water polo at Bishop Moore High School and continued on to be the starting goalie for all four years of her college career at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. She was two-time All-MAAC First Team performer and a 2018 Iona College Hall of Fame Inductee.
TRAVIS HOWARD started coaching at Patriot in 2024. He grew up in this very program. He began swimming with Patriot Aquatics in middle school and added water polo in high school. He went on to become a two-sport High School All-American and state champion, qualified for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials, and earned a full scholarship to compete at the NCAA Division I level for Florida Atlantic University.
Travis Howard
IZZY MILLER has been playing water polo for 6 years. She was a captain for 3 years in high school and competed with Alliance in California for Junior Olympics in California. She also works as a lifeguard & counselor at the Summer League Camp at Lake Brantley. She leads our 12u & 14u Teams along with volunteering at the high school level.
Izzy Miller
ALEX RUNNELLS played water polo for 11 years. He started in our Junior Team Program and was a dominant player in high school. He has coached with Team Orlando and Marco Polo. He has coached at the Junior Olympic level and is currently an ODP Development Coach. He works with all of our age levels from 12u through our Masters division.
Alex Runnells
KELSEY MCMULLAN has coached beginner swimmers and waterpolo players since 2020. She began playing waterpolo before high school and is currently a member of the women's water polo team at UCF. Kelsey was named an Outstanding All American by USAWP for her dedication to the sport and academics. Coach Kelsey is currently passionate about leading our 12u Team to success in and out of the pool.
Kelsey McMullan
"Not Quite Retired" LOU BUTTICE has been a part of Patriot Water Polo Club and Lake Brantley High School Water Polo for over 15 years. He was a parent volunteer during the years his sons played at the high school level. He was our lead coach for our club Junior Team program. He can still be found coaching Patriots at the 12u level all the way up through collegiate level.
